World of Warcraft Legion Developer Update
It is reported that the WoW game Director Ion Hazzikostas announced the Legion closed beta phase will begin Thursday at 2 p.m. Pacific. Players who are already in the Legion alpha will maintain their access, but the beta transition will wipe all current progress. Beta
- Beta was announced to start this Thursday, 2pm PDT.
- All progress from Alpha characters will be wiped.

Legacy Servers

Leveling Experience
- He believes the experience of WoW needs to be fixed so that we enjoy the game at every level, not just max level.
- He doesn't want to return to the days of taking months to level up, but he agrees that it is too easy currently.
- The level boost will allow players that want to just experience end content to do so.
- He hopes that the flexible systems in Legion will be applicable to the old zones of WoW.
Class Order Halls
- Ion seemed to want to put the COH = Garrison debate to rest.
- The garrison was an exclusive space that only the player was in.
- The word clubhouse was used to describe the halls.
- While in WoD, we saw missions that granted us caches filled with loot, Legion missions will give us items that can be taken into the instances for extra loot.
- We could customise garrisons through our Barracks etc., changing guards and such, but the halls are meant to be historic locations. We won't be acting as interior designers here, since it's not our house.
World Quests
- They're hoping to take the positives from MoP, while leaving out the repetitive grinding of dailies.
- There are hundreds of world quests that provide variety, as well as numerous rewards available.
- The outdoor quests will contain portions of the storyline, since the game is still an RPG. They aren't ignoring story for gameplay.
Dungeons and Raids
- Dungeons were ignored for far too long.
- The introduction of Mythic dungeons for WoD were a trial of things to come in Legion.
- Legion dungeons will follow a Diablo-style format with keystones, but they will add affixes rather than just +damage and +HP.
Demon Hunters
- Our beloved developer Ion admitted to picking a Shaman as his first class, because he wanted to tank.
- Although lore dictates that Demon Hunters are restricted to the Elves, we might see other races in the future.
- Other race and class combos might be coming, like Gnome Hunters are in Legion, but some simply won't happen. Stealth and hooves doesn't work.
