WoW Legion: Demon Invasion Beta is Open
Before the the official release of World of Warcraft Legion, Blizzard opened up the Legion Demon Invasion beta testing server on June 10th. To Join in with efforts, the event had markers on the map where you could see where the invasions were happening. Faction specifics NPCs had their PvP switched off for the duration of the event, however its unsure if this will still be the case once the event goes live. Currently there are six Invasion objectives: Azshara, Dun Morogh, Hillsbrad Foothills, Northern Barrens, Tanaris and Westfall. In the progress of completing invasions, you can buy wow gold when you lack of gold and items to make your characters more powerful!
When you enter the zone being attacked by the Legion, the objective automatically starts, much like the bonus objectives currently in Warlords of Draenor. The sky is lit up with Fel energy and a massive portal and ship where the Legion appear to be coming into Azeroth from.
As you start off by defending the zone from the initial attack against what seems to be dozens and dozens of demons falling from the sky. Incredibly large groups are needed to defeat these demons, and it becomes necessary to group up with other players and fight side by side with the opposite faction in order to eliminate the threat. Second phase you need to defeat the first Demon Commander, before going on to repel the Legion forces that have taken up over the entire zone.
Once the forces have been repelled (your objective bar sufficiently filled), the final boss, a Demon Lord must be killed. The final boss is incredibly difficult and it is a necessary to group up in a full raid team, complete with tanks and healers in order to kill him much like other world bosses in previous expansions.
According wowhead, each invasion is a group open world scenario and follows the same basic pattern:
Stage 1: Defend an Invasion Point.
Stage 2: Defeat the Demon Commander and the two lieutenants.
Stage 3: Repeal the Legion forces from in and around the zone.
Stage 4: Defeat the Demon Lord final boss.
At the end of each stage, you recieve a currency, which can be used to buy consumables, armor, items and transmogrification armor sets.
You also recieve an item called Small Legion Chest for completing stage 2; and Large Legion Chest for completing stage 4, both of which have the chance of dropping items and the pet “Felbat Pup“.
Completing the Invasion Objective for the first time also gives you the achievement “Stand Against the Legion“. Completing all six rewards the title “Defender of Azeroth: Legion Invasions“.
