- Demon hunter class
The new class in Legion is based on the lore of Illidan Stormrage and the fantasy of metamorphing and becoming a demon for a short amount of time. Demon Hunters get their own bespoke starting experience, a little storyline that unfolds as you do the initial introduction to the class and introduction to where you fit into the lore for Legion, where you also get to see the reverse perspective of Illidan.
Demon Hunters have two primary specializations: one is all melee DPS focused (the high mobility Fell Rush and Vengeful Retreat), the other spec is Vengeance, a tanking spec. Vengeance is one of the more high skill capped tanks, so there are more active abilities that you’re rotating through in order to mitigate damage. Where Havoc has a lot of raw mobility of jumping around and Fell Rushing, Vengeance has an ability to move around with Infernal Strife. They also have the ability to do more projected controls, letting them grab people and pull them to one place or silence from a distance, so they have a bit more power projection as opposed to just raw mobility.
- Order Halls
The new Class Order Halls in Legion are similar in concept to the Garrisons from Warlords of Draenor, but where the Garrisons were isolating and kind of tedious, the Order Halls are where you’ll actually want to spend some of your time in.
This is the place to go to customize and upgrade your artifact weapon, pick up quests, and scout new zones for levelling. And instead of managing followers like before, you’ll now have five Champions (evolution of Garrison followers) that you can send out on missions to scout for information, items and resources. You can also upgrade your Order Hall, which will take an increasing amount of time each round, to add passive buffs to your character.
- The Emerald Dream
The Emerald Dream has been corrupted by the nightmare and players will have to raid through and try to correct the wrath and corruption that has taken over. The Emerald Nightmare raid includes seven bosses and culminates in a fight against Satyr Lord Xavius, who is trying to bring the nightmare over Azeroth. In addition, the raid also extends to Mulgore, Moonglade and Un’Goro Crater. The raid will afford players a glimpse at long last into the dream world.
- Revamped PvP
The new PvP mechanics in Legion will include a new Honor Talents progression system. Instead of using better gear to increase your PvP capabilities, players must now achieve ranks to unlock talents. These talents will enhance your abilities and provide a much bigger advantage in PvP over just having good gear. There is also a prestige system that lets you reset your rank at level 50 to exchange for skins and other rewards.
They’ve also normalized player stats such that players who are super over-geared compared to players who are just starting PvP, are actually not that different anymore. The player with gear might have a slight advantage, but in general they’re closer now in stats so it becomes much more about skill.
The new system allows players who are just starting out to feel like they have relatively even footing. Because even if you’re not as powerful as everyone else, just getting a bit of impact on the battle feels good, and you can do that now, even with a low level.
- Legendary Artifacts
Legion will allow players to wield class-specific weapons based on Warcraft lore. As such, paladins will be able to use the sword Ashbringer, shamans can acquire the legendary Doomhammer and fire mages can earn Felo'melorn, amongst other great weapons.
Aside from looking awesome, these weapons will also grow in power and add bonuses to your spec’s abilities as your character gets stronger. Questing, dungeons, raids, and PvP will give you Artifact Points which are used to unlock traits, like a mini talent tree for your weapon. You can also slot Relics into your weapon to increase its DPS and stats. And possibly the best part about Artifacts – they’re fully customizable so your character will look totally unique.
These 5 awesome new features are available in the new expansion for World of Warcraft: Legion! Try to complete your quests to seek out and master artifact weapons of legendary might. Now, it is time
